Would you like to work in an exciting partnership delivering NFM and woodland creation at a catchment scale? This ambitious project also marks the start of a joint, long-term partnership, between the National Trust and Yorkshire Water – the opportunities to extend this project over the wider Colne, Holme and Calder catchments are endless. Whilst a significant part the role will be delivering the £2.6m NFM project you will also be helping to develop the next phase of NFM and woodland creation across this beautiful upland landscape.
The South Pennines embraces parts of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Great Manchester – a land of steep-sided valleys, heather moorland, distinctive market towns, canals, rivers and reservoirs. Often described as ‘spectacular’, ‘breath taking’ and ‘dramatic’. Trust me I spend half my life in Sunderland – it really is a great place to work!
Please don’t be put off by the job requirements. We want a great person but aware that the right person will not necessarily have everything we are looking for! Its as much about having a passion for the uplands and wanting to work with a wide range of external partners as well as good project management skills. So if this role appeals to you feel free to call me for an informal chat (Craig Best 07721762095).
Advert closes the 12 April. Interviews are planned for the 18 April. The job is fixed for 2 years and secondments will be accepted.
